Post Event Comments:

Gavin Clegg, League coordinator:

In the Open; Peter Suba by dint of his fastest mins per k in Brighton is up 2 places to 3rd and could well challenge Alan and Dan for the title. Tereza is up 2 to 6th chasing Becca in 4th. Both have been to all the races so far. Rob Hick had a great run in Brighton and is up 7 to 9th.

In the Handicap; Charlotte still leads with Tereza in 2nd having swapped places with Mike Frizzell who frustratingly missed a control in the butterflies at Brighton. Mike is another who has run all races so far. However I think the real challengers to Charlotte are the heavy hitters who have only been to four or so events so far and are languishing at present in the teens – namely Mary Nixon, Robin Smith, Carolyn Dent, Ian Sayer and Chris Branford – we shall see.

Have a lovely Christmas and all the very best for 2018.

Planners comments are available published on the SO website here.

Since the main adult courses do not use The Lanes this year, SO have decided to put on a short course in this iconic area that can be attempted after your main run. It starts and finishes adjacent to the School. This extra course will use the same 1:2500 A4 map as the Junior courses. There is no pre-entry for this course but to ensure that SO have enough maps if you would like to run this course please complete the Doodle poll at: https://doodle.com/poll/tnrgacbu47wpy9en
