In spite of the foul weather on Sunday, a handful of hardy WSX members competed at two events. Firstly, there was the NWO event at West Woods, near Marlborough. Cagoules were the order of the day for most runners as it was quite chilly, as well as very wet. The best results, yet again, came from the Medlock family, with both Eskarina and Lyra coming 1st on White and orange, respectively. Their mum, Rebecca, came a very creditable 7th on Short Green (and 1st W40), with Jolyon in 6th (2nd M40) on the Blue course. Graham Whiffen also turned out and came 13th on Brown (1st M45); also Ian Sayer – 22nd (4th M65) on Blue, and myself, 30th on Green (1st W65).

Peter Suba and Jason Falconer also braved the weather at the OK Nuts Full Blood event – a 21.2k race! Peter came an excellent 14th, but Jason sadly had to retire.

Well done to everyone for turning out in such weather!

For those who are Night League fans:

Please note change of date for WIM’s Gillingham Night Event – it is now the next day on Friday 9th February (school forgot that it was their year 9 options evening!!!)

And don’t forget to reserve a map for this.
